Andhra Pradesh Special Status
Post Bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh State, during the 2014 elections all political parties have promised “Special Category Status” because of the extraordinary conditions of bifurcating united A.P. much against the wishes of Andhra Public.
BJP Under Leadership of Present Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi & TDP under Leadership of Present Chief Minister of A.P. Mr.Chandrababu Naidu have also promised “Special Category Status” for the residual state of Andhra Pradesh.
With much inaction on the promised special category status for Andhra Pradesh, Janasena Party president Mr.Pawan Kalyan organized public meetings at Tirupathi, Kakinada and Ananthapuram to demand the fulfilment of election promise made to people of A.P. This has created a ray of hope among the public of the state. Party chief Mr.Pawan Kalyan made a clear call that he will fight till the state gets what it was rightfully promised by the governments during 2014 elections.
The Central Government at Delhi announced the so called special package in a late night press meet conducted a night before JanaSena Party’s “Andhrula Aatmagourava sabha” at Kakinada on 9th Septmeber 2016. This package was termed by political analysts as an appeasement activity and Mr.Pawan Kalyan called them ‘rotten Laddoos’.
Uddanam Kidney Issue
According to the World Health Organization, Uddanam is one of the three regions in the world with the hightest concentration of Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) after Sri Lanka and Nicaragua
Janasena Party President Mr.Pawan Kalyan visited the affected region & interacted with victims of Chronic Kidney Disease . He assured the victims that he will stand by them till they get proper medical attention and immediate medical relief measures. He announced a core team consisting of doctors, scientists and research scholars on behalf of Janasena Party to address the issue and prepare a detailed report on the current conditions at Uddanam. He set a 48 hours dead-line to the state government to respond on the issue and announce immediate medical relief measures to the kidney victims of Uddanam. He also demanded the government to provide free bus passes and free medicine to patients, rehabilitation of kids orphaned by chronic kidney disease, supply of RO water, establishment of dialysis centres in each mandal, setting up of an research centre to perform multi-factorial research and analysis to find the root cause of the disease and appointment of nephrologists in government hospitals to treat the patients. Government bowed to the demands of people’s leader & started acting on fulfilling the demands raised above.
Upon Mr.Kalyan’s invitation, a group of researchers from Harvard Medical School have visited Uddanam region on 29th July,2017 & has convened a Medical symposium the next day to find a solution to this Chronic Kideny disease. Mr.Kalyan & Party leadership took the Harvard expert doctors to meet with Chief Minister Mr.Chandra Babu Naidu and got the government to fund establishment of World class kidney research center at Uddanam region soon.
Godavari Aqua Food Park
The proposed Rs.800-crore Godavari Mega aqua food park is proposed to come up in the villages of Tundurru, Jonnalagaruvu, and Kampala Betapudi villages in Bhimavaram and Narsapur areas in West Godavari district.
The proposed aqua food park is an assortment of 30 fish and prawn processing units. The ongoing works at the project site have been stalled by the residents of affected villages for the last four months. Neither the Government nor the Factory Management have cleared the public’s apprehensions over the negative impact of Factory over drinking water resources , health & livelihoods. The villagers allege that the proposed factory site is coming up with in the radius of 100 meters of Jaonnalagaruvu , in violation of safety norms. Following a confrontation between the locals and factory management, the police registered cases against 10 protesters following a complaint of trespassing and damaging property lodged by the factory management.
Villagers from this region met Jana Sena Party President Mr.Pawan Kalyan as a last hope to address their issue . After studying all the aspects of the issue and interacting with them , he suggested the government to consider shifting the aqua food park to another location. He questioned the need for imposition of prohibitory orders in the village surroundings. Mr.Pawan Kalyan assured the affected villagers that he would stand by them till the issue will be solved on a mutual constraint. As of March 2017, the construction activity has been stalled and a status quo is being maintained here. The prohibitory order continues to exist and protestors are being arrested. Janasena party is committed to ensure justice be served to these villagers on this issue.
